Our mouths can reveal everything about us even when we are not talking. I wanted to photograph something so intimate and sensual as if the images are telling you a secret. The words listen closely refer to this. Without the context of the story behind the images, without hearing the words coming from her mouth, you’d never know the secrets that her mouth could tell you. But when you listen closely maybe you can read the emotions within them.
